World’s Fastest Toy Car Sets Record

The world record for fastest toy car was just set by the Traxxas XO-1. Although it is only 27 inches long, this radio-controlled car can reach 100 miles per hour in less than five seconds! The hand-held control can be connected to a smart phone, which programs the car to reach its top speeds. Since the toy car can travel so fast, it is even coated with a special paint that won’t easily peel.

The makers of the toy car say that the XO-1 is only for experts to drive and is not intended for children to play with at home. The speed and power of the car could make it dangerous so it is supposed to be driven on closed courses like a real racetrack or drag strip.
