Drill Synchron

Drill Synchron

Ever play somebody who just keeps Setting monsters in Defense Position, to taking damage from your monsters? “Drill Synchron” is a Level 3 Tuner monster that weakens this strategy for your opponent! With “Drill Synchron,” each time one of your Warrior-Type monsters battles a Defense Position monster, “Drill Synchron” makes it so that you deal damage to your opponent’s Life Points anyways.

That’s not all though. Once per turn when you deal damage thanks to “Drill Synchron’s” effect, you can draw a card as well! With “Drill Synchron” you’ll be able to smash through your opponent’s defenses, as long as you have a big enough Warrior to do the job.

If you’re looking for powerful Warrior-Type monsters to go along with your “Drill Synchron,” try “Phoenix Gearfried.” With 2800 ATK, “Phoenix Gearfried” is one of the strongest Warriors around, and lets you stop an opponent’s Spell or Trap by taking any Equip Card on your field and sending it to the Graveyard. If you like playing Equip Spells,  this special ability of “Phoenix Gearfried” can come in really handy.

Here’s where you can find these cards:
“Drill Synchron” is from Absolute Powerforce.
“Phoenix Gearfried” can be found in the Warriors’ Strike Structure Deck.

Drill Warrior

Drill Warrior

Just like the rest of the “Synchron” Tuner monsters, “Drill Synchron” has a souped-up Synchro Monster to go with it! “Drill Warrior” is a Level 6 Synchro Monster with 2400 ATK. Like “Drill Synchron,” “Drill Warrior” doesn’t care too much for your opponent’s defenses. In fact, “Drill Warrior” can just skip right past them!

During your turn, you can cut the ATK of “Drill Warrior” in half to let it ignore your opponent’s monsters and attack directly. The ATK stays halved for as long as “Drill Warrior” is on the field, but you can reset it by using “Drill Warrior’s” other effect. If you discard 1 card, you can remove “Drill Warrior” from play until your next Standby Phase. Your opponent won’t be able to destroy “Drill Warrior” while it’s removed from play, and when you Special Summon it back to the field during your Standby Phase, it’ll have 2400 ATK again!

Even better, when “Drill Warrior” comes back to the field, you can add any Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand. If you discarded a monster to remove “Drill Warrior” from play, you can just take it right back. Or you can pick a different monster instead, basically trading 1 monster in your hand for 1 in the Graveyard. Remember that “Drill Warrior” is a Warrior-Type monster, so you can pick up “Drill Synchron” and use its effect to let “Drill Warrior” just smash through your opponent’s monsters and draw cards!

Here’s where you can find these cards:
“Drill Warrior” and “Drill Synchron” are both from Absolute Powerforce.
