Sneaker Collection Sets World Record

A 63-year-old woman named Penny Gold recently set a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Converse sneakers. Gold owns 733 pairs of the shoes!

She is a retired teacher who used to wear a different pair of Converse shoes every day of the school year. Her students would take notes on which shoes she wore so they could try and catch her wearing the same pair twice.

It took seven people to officially count her collection for the Guinness World Record. Gold says she has been collecting Converse sneakers since she was a teenager in the 1960s. She even wears them to fancy events!
