Parrots Name Their Kids, Say Scientists

Scientists recently discovered that parrots not only mimic sounds, they have their own complex language with each other! In fact, baby parrots are given their own names by their parents before they leave the nest. Of course, this “name” is really just a unique bird squawk but each parrot will continue to be identified by this sound for the rest of its life.

This study proves how intelligent the birds are. Just like people, parrots have large brains for their bodies and socialize with each other through language.
