Hundreds of Meteorites Found in Antarctica

A group of scientists recently bundled up and headed into freezing Antarctica. They went on this journey to search for undiscovered meteorites that have landed on Earth over the years. Amazingly, they found more than 300 space rocks among the arctic ice and snow.

Since there are currently no space missions planned to retrieve samples from other planets, this is the best source of extraterrestrial material for scientists. There are so many meteorites in Antarctica that experts were finding them almost everywhere they looked.
