Giant, One-Ton Crocodile Found

A group of villagers and hunters recently captured a one-ton saltwater crocodile in the Philippines. This giant crocodile measured 21 feet long and weighed about 2,370 pounds! The animal was captured because it posed a threat to local citizens. Even now, the locals are being told not to go into nearby marshes at night because there are still giant crocodiles roaming the area.

It took 100 people to pull the huge reptile from a creek to a crane, where the animal was then lifted into a truck. The crocodile is safe and no one was injured during the hunt, although the beast did destroy four traps before it was finally caught. This could be one of the biggest crocodiles ever to be captured alive.

The crocodile will soon be the star attraction at an ecotourism park in Manila. What nickname would you give this huge reptile?
