Astronomers recently spotted a planet 4,000 light years away that is made of a diamond material. It is located in the Serpens constellation and orbits a small star called a pulsar. The planet is also extremely dense, meaning that lighter elements like hydrogen and helium are not found on it. These conditions suggest the planet is largely made of carbon and is probably under so much pressure that it crystallizes. Basically, this means the planet has been made into a huge diamond!
Scientists have named the newly found diamond planet PSR J1719-1438. What would you have named it?
