Bear Breaks Into Family’s Car, Crashes It

A man named Brian McCarthy recently had his family car stolen by a wild bear! Luckily, the bear didn’t make it very far with the vehicle, but it did do a lot of damage. The McCarthy family was staying in a Lake Tahoe cabin and late one night, the bear managed to crawl into the car. Once the bear was inside, it became stuck and started to wildly thrash around.

The animal tore up the interior and managed to knock the car into neutral, which sent the vehicle rolling down the driveway! The little “drive” didn’t last long, though. The car rolled across the street, hopped over a small rock wall and stopped on a neighbor’s front porch. The bear later ran back into the woods and luckily, no one was injured in the bizarre accident.

McCarthy says that the car was closed and had no food inside when the bear found it. How and why do you think the bear got into the vehicle?
