16-Year-Old Girl Sets Sail Around the World

A 16-year-old girl named Abby Sunderland has set out to become the youngest person to ever sail around the world alone! She started her journey in California and plans to make her worldwide trip in five or six months. The current record-holder for being the youngest person to sail around the world alone is 17-year-old Mike Perham of Britain. Before that, the record-holder was Sunderland's brother Zac! It looks like sailing is a major part of the Sunderland family.
